On November 8, Shenzhen Farben Information Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Farben”) and the China IoV Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center/CQC IoV Technology Service (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CQC IoV,” a wholly-owned subsidiary of the China Quality Certification Center (CQC)) established a joint innovation laboratory and reached strategic cooperation.
The two parties will engage in comprehensive and deep cooperation based on a strategic partnership to jointly enable the high-quality development of China’s automotive electronics, automotive industry software, and intelligent connected vehicle industry.
Leaders attending the ceremony and discussion included: Li Hui, CTO; Zhong Zeming, general manager of the vehicle product line; Song Yan, admin director; Ma Kedi, head of the Automotive Electronics Department; and Wang Fengjun, purchase expert (on the Farben side); Wang Jiangdong, head of three safety centers of the CQC, and Mu Daming, deputy general manager of CQC IoV (on the other side).
Li Hui, CTO of Farben, and Wang Jiangdong, head of three safety centers of the CQC, jointly presented the plaque for the joint innovation laboratory.
Based on their mutual recognition of each other’s corporate culture and business concept, Farben and CQC IoV leveraged their respective advantages in management, technology development, technical services, and platforms to establish a strategic partnership and engage in comprehensive and deep cooperation as business partners.
The two parties will work closely to deepen and broaden their cooperation in product development, product testing, personnel training, system building, standard formulation, certification, and regulation training, improve the overall competitiveness of each other, and achieve win-win development.
According to Li Hui, CTO of Farben, Farben has registered a compound growth rate of nearly 70% for the last 10 years. The continuous expansion and improvements of Farben would have been impossible without the close cooperation with ecosystem partners. With the support of CQC IoV’s ASPICE expert team, Farben has successfully passed ASPICE CL2 certification. It is a testimony to Farben’s international advanced level of improvement and management capabilities in automobile software development, which lays a solid foundation for product quality. Farben would like to extend thanks to the ASPICE expert team. In addition to ASPICE, the two parties are in deep cooperation in multiple areas, including ISO26262 functional safety, information security, development, and testing. With the establishment of the joint innovation laboratory and the strategic partnership, Farben is ready to establish deep cooperation with CQC IoV in more areas to jointly enable the high-quality development of the automobile industry.
According to Wang Jiangdong, head of three safety centers of the CQC, the China IoV Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center was approved by the State Administration for Market Regulation and recognized as a state-level laboratory in 2022. Administered by the CQC, the center runs the entity CQC IoV Technology Service (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. The center will support 5G and Beidou IoV data applications to form IoV testing and certification capabilities with Beidou application characteristics and proprietary innovative technologies. CQC IoV has obtained CNAS and state-level CMA qualifications, which cover some 2,000 testing capabilities in seven categories in four areas, including intelligent connected vehicles, satellite navigation, vehicle safety, and vehicle reliability. It has also obtained the U.S. A2LA qualification.
The release of Chinese mandatory standards, including GB 44495-2024, GB 44496-2024, R155, and R156, and the implementation of EU regulations force the upstream and downstream of the automobile industrial chain to solve automotive information security problems. We are willing to strengthen cooperation with Farben to jointly address the fast-growing demand for automotive information security. We will provide support for CQV IoV and Farben’s team to strengthen interactions and leverage their respective strengths to implement more projects.
With the company and introduction of CQC IoV’s team, Farben’s team visited CQV IoV’s laboratories for satellite navigation, intelligent connected vehicles, vehicle safety, and vehicle reliability and gained a deeper understanding of their technological strengths and research progress. In the end, they took a group photo.
