WAIC Connect Malaysia | Farben Information Showcases AI Financial Solutions, Accelerating the Smart Evolution of Inclusive Finance

2026.09.24

Recently, WAIC Connect Malaysia 2026 was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). Hosted by WAIC CONNECT with sponsorship from Huawei Malaysia and support from the Chinese Embassy, the event centered on the theme "Innovating for a Green and Intelligent Malaysia."

It gathered government agencies, operators, industry customers, ecosystem partners, and Chinese AI enterprises to explore implementation paths for AI and computing power infrastructure in the Southeast Asian market. As a partner of Huawei’s RONGHAI Project, Farben Information (Farben) showcased its financial AI solutions tailored for emerging markets at the event, empowering the digital and intelligent upgrade of inclusive finance in Malaysia.

As a vital segment on the first day of the event, Huawei Cloud AI Boost Day Malaysia was successfully held, attracting a large number of attendees. During the session, Huawei Cloud outlined the five-layer technology architecture of its Agentic Cloud and announced the commercial launch of CodeArts Agent in Malaysia, offering local developers and enterprises a highly practical, intelligent coding solution with powerful engineering capabilities. As an ecosystem partner of Huawei, Farben introduced its mature financial AI capabilities to Malaysia at the exhibition, delivering one-stop solution capabilities—including AI anti-money laundering (AML), AI credit, and AI data governance—to financial institutions across Southeast Asia.

Farben Information (SZSE: 300925) is a listed IT service company that has continuously served over 300 global financial institutions for more than a decade. Its AI AML and AI credit products have already been implemented for local financial industry clients in Malaysia. The company is committed to serving as a trusted strategic partner in the digital transformation of financial institutions, continuously driving the digital and intelligent evolution of banks.

Leveraging Huawei's computing foundation, Farben's financial AI solutions further integrate computing power, models, and business scenarios. This integration enables banks to streamline business processes, reduce risk management costs, and expand the coverage of inclusive financial services, thereby better meeting the business demands of emerging financial markets in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. At this exhibition, Farben highlighted six major financial AI application domains, including financial compliance, credit business, document intelligence, customer service, payment operations, and engineering platforms. This clearly illustrated how AI models can be integrated throughout the entire banking workflow to deliver real business value.

At the conference, Mr. Wang Sangsang, Banking Solution Expert at Farben Information, delivered a keynote speech sharing practical implementations of Agentic Banking for Malaysian clients. He noted that through long-term dedication to global financial service delivery, Farben understands not only AI algorithms but also the genuine business pain points, regulatory compliance requirements, and operational costs of banks.

"Building on this expertise, we focus on two core scenarios: AI AML and AI credit. By integrating Graph Neural Networks (GNN), large models, and AI Agents upon traditional rule engines, we leverage Huawei's computing power to reduce false positives and total cost of ownership (TCO), and to automatically generate compliance reports. Simultaneously, we resolve the high costs and low efficiency of Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) lending through intelligent risk control and automated approvals—a solution already successfully implemented in top-tier Malaysian financial institutions. Technology serves the business—what we deliver is a sustainable, long-term co-creation solution," he stated.

During the exhibition networking session, Farben's booth attracted numerous local Malaysian financial institutions and industry partners for visits and in-depth discussions. The parties engaged in discussions on topics such as AI financial implementation, inclusive finance development, and digital transformation, further exploring possibilities for in-depth cooperation in the Malaysian market.

Moving forward, Farben will continue to deepen its ecosystem partnership with Huawei, exporting its practical experience in financial AI to emerging markets. This effort will help local financial institutions lower barriers to digitalization, unlock the value of AI, and accelerate the development of a green and intelligent digital economy in Malaysia.
