Embracing Agentic Banking, Farben Reimagines the End-to-End AML Process with AI Agent Technology

2026.05.29

On May 20, 2026, the Huawei Intelligent Finance Summit 2026 (HiFS 2026) officially commenced at the Huawei Lianqiuhu Campus in Shanghai, under the theme “Hello Fintelligent World: Beyond Digital, Advance to Agentic Banking.”

The summit brought together more than 800 representatives from financial institutions across over 60 countries and regions, along with more than 70 industry partners worldwide. As a key ecosystem partner of the Huawei RONGHAI Program, Farben (300925.SZ) was invited to participate in the summit, where it showcased its AI-powered Anti-Money Laundering (AML) solution and comprehensively demonstrated its latest practices in leveraging AI Agent technology to enhance global financial compliance.

The core of the solution is a Case Disposition Agent architecture that orchestrates four AI agents working collaboratively to establish an end-to-end autonomous analysis pipeline. The Analysis Agent, Deep Research Agent, Narrative Agent, and Decision Agent operate seamlessly together to automate the entire AML review workflow—from intelligent alert triage to Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) escalation.

Processes that traditionally required more than six hours of manual AML review can now be completed in under ten minutes. The entire workflow—from analysis and reporting to decision-making—generates a comprehensive audit trail, ensuring that AI-driven decisions remain transparent, traceable, and fully compliant with regulatory explainability requirements.

During the summit, the AI-Powered AML booth attracted significant attention from banking and fintech representatives across the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. Visitors highly recognized the product’s substantial improvements in compliance review efficiency, report standardization, and auditability of review processes.

At the themed roundtable  "Agentic Banking: From Automation to Autonomy" during HiFS 2026, Huawei Cloud’s Chief Architect of Financial Solutions joined Yue Peng, Financial Solutions Expert at Farben (300925.SZ), for an in-depth discussion on the core capabilities of Huawei Financial Cloud and innovative AML agent solutions. During the session, Yue Peng delivered a keynote speech titled “AI-Powered AML: Agentic Architecture Reshaping Intelligent AML Decision-Making.” Representatives from banks and fintech institutions across Africa, the Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East attended the session and engaged in active discussions on implementation scenarios and technical details.

In his speech, Yue Peng noted that traditional AML operations have long faced three major challenges: intensifying regulatory pressure, declining operational efficiency, and rising compliance costs. He explained that the essence of Agentic Banking lies in transforming AI from a passive analytical tool into an “intelligent agent cluster” capable of autonomous analysis, collaborative reasoning, and explainable decision-making.

He also demonstrated the four-agent collaborative workflow of Farben's AI-powered AML solution, built on its Case Disposition architecture. By integrating the Analysis Agent, Deep Research Agent, Narrative Agent, and Decision Agent into a fully autonomous end-to-end analytical pipeline, the solution enables precise alert filtering, accelerated review processes, and one-click report generation.

With more than a decade of deep expertise in the financial sector, Farben has served over 300 financial institutions globally.
